Three Generations Working Together

The Beginning

Rod & Pat Fortin

In 2008, Rod and Pat Fortin discovered the stunning Wine Capital of Canada in the South Okanagan Valley and a myriad of lush vineyards nestled between the desert hills.

Always searching for the next adventure, they purchased property and converted it into a beautiful vineyard which would become their future Oliver BC winery.

A Love for Food & Wine

Tim & Eileen Fortin

Their son Tim and his wife Eileen met at culinary school. They both have a love of great food and excellent wine shared with family and friends.

In 2016, they couldn’t resist any longer and purchased the adjoining property shedding the city life.

The Sons

Taylor & Kelsey Fortin

Together with sons Kelsey and Taylor, Tim and Eileen planted the Mountainview vineyard, and built the winery facility and wine shop.

Three generations working together is a dream come true.

Optimal soil and Climate

Our Vines

Our three-acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard is situated between beautiful spring-fed Tucelnuit Lake and the Okanagan River. Our vines flourish in the hot South Okanagan climate and in the optimal well-draining gravely and sandy soils of our land producing the highest quality fruit for our wines.

An Intimate relationship

The Making of Delicious Wine

It is important to know the grapes; their smell, taste, and appearance, as they progress through the growing season. This intimate knowledge coupled with the timing of the harvest and weather conditions are important factors in capturing the aroma, flavour, colour, structure, alcohol level, and balance of our premium wines.

Our Philosophy

Well Balanced, Bold & Flavourful

As human beings, we strive to achieve balance in all aspects of our lives. At Red Horses Vineyard, we have taken that philosophy and applied it to our brand and our wine.

Here, you will discover well balanced, bold, and flavourful wine made by a family of passionate wine-makers.
